The partnership will commence with the upcoming edition of the international marketplace for documentary in la Rochelle, 19-22 June 2017, to foster new factual content development between Chinese and international production/ broadcasting companies.  

Wednesday, 31st May, 2017 in PARIS and BEIJING – China Intercontinental Communication Center (CICC) and Sunny Side of the Doc, the leading international marketplace for documentary and factual content across all platforms, have announced a new strategic partnership in accordance with China’s « One Belt One Road » initiative, which strives to foster stronger economic and cultural ties between China and the rest of the world.

The partnership is comprised of two core elements:

-          Sunny Side of the Doc is officially recognized by the State Administration of Radio, Film & TV (SARFT) of the People’s Republic of China as the annual gathering point and must-attend marketplace to connect Chinese media professionals to new factual opportunities for trans-national and international collaborations.

-          CICC is taking the lead in organising the « Feeling China » Pavilion and carrying out a series of themed events at Sunny Side of the Doc. The 2017 « Feeling China » Pavilion is expected to provide a platform for 10 China’s national and provincial-level TV stations, OTT platforms, independent production and distribution companies, media organizations and institutions including :

At this year’s Sunny Side of the Doc, a series of keynote and networking events have been scheduled to coincide with the expanded China presence and strategic plan to engage the world with high quality and innovative factual content.
