Ark of Cao Vit Gibbon
Cao vit gibbon is one of the most endangered gibbon species in the world. Merely about 100 exist worldwide. They are living in a small limestone rainforest on the border between China and Vietnam. In the 1960s, most scientists considered that this species had been extinct. But in 2002, cao vit gibbon was rediscovered in morthern Vietnam. The protection of cao vit gibbon is a typical case of transnational cooperation for biological diversity conservation.
This is the story about how the people from the country boundary between China and Vietnam work together to preserve this worldwide rare primate species, the ape like us.
