Documentary Center of BNU was found in 2006. It carries on BNU’s humanistic concern from it’s humanity tradition which has a more than one hundred years history, builds its strong background with support of aesthetics, communication, literature, education and psychology. It is found to well develop the new direction that combines teaching, research and production of documentary. 

The Doc Center has produced more than 100 episodes TV documentaries and two documentary films. Courses include Aesthetics of Documentary Films, History of Documentary, Production of Documentary, Film Production. All courses emphasize on both theory study and practice ability. Several student works made in these classes were selected by international film festivals and won awards.
